Moulton Statement on the 4th anniversary of the January 6th attack on the Capitol

January 6, 2025 Press Release Congressman Seth Moulton made the following statement on the 4th anniversary of the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021: "Four years ago, a violent, extremist mob of domestic terrorists stormed the Capitol to overturn our presidential election, putting an idolatrous obsession with one man over loyalty to our Constitution and respect for the votes of the American people. Today, Kamala Harris certified her own defeat with dignity, ensuring a peaceful transfer of power - a stark contrast to the treasonous chaos incited by Donald Trump in 2021. We can’t erase the violence of January 6, 2021, but we must learn from it or it will happen again. Upholding our democratic republic requires accountability, respect for the truth and the law, and a bipartisan commitment to always putting country over party. For the hope of future generations, these are not principles we can compromise."
