Since his election to Congress from Rhode Island’s First Congressional District in 2023, Amo has led bipartisan efforts to ensure full funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, which provides grants to assist targeted nonprofits, including houses of worship, to increase their security. He also led bipartisan efforts to push back against President Trump’s pause on drawdowns for funding under the Nonprofit Security Grant Program earlier this year. Prior to his election to Congress, Amo served as Deputy Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs working with mayors and local elected officials to help implement President Biden’s National Strategy to Combat Antisemitism. ###
