WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement after President Trump fired the Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden: “Carla Hayden is the People’s Librarian of Congress and the idiot decision to fire her won’t change that. “Nothing Trump does will stop us from ensuring that people have access to education and the books that challenge us to be better. “This is the time to stand for libraries and the freedom they support. Trump can try to undermine libraries and the Library of Congress. And he will fail.” ###
