June 9, 2026 Press Release WASHINGTON, DC: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) voted in favor of the Secure America Act, legislation providing long-term funding for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), ensuring the agencies have the resources needed to secure protect America and its borders. The legislation passed the House today by a vote of 214-212. “Keeping our communities safe starts with securing our borders and enforcing the law,” said Rep. Bresnahan. “The American people deserve a secure border, safe communities, and an immigration system that works. Today’s vote helps ensure ICE and CBP have the personnel, technology, and operational support necessary to protect our nation and uphold the rule of law.” The Secure America Act appropriates funding for ICE and CBP through September 2029 and covers personnel hiring, pay, training, and equipment, as well as border security technology and operations. The legislation first passed the Senate on June 5, 2026, by a vote of 52-47. It now heads to the president’s desk to be signed into law. ###
