September 03, 2026 Duckworth Visits Revolution Workshop to Highlight $500,000 Investment She Secured to Support Workforce Training [CHICAGO, IL] — U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) today visited Revolution Workshop to see firsthand how the $500,000 in federal funding she successfully secured is helping expand the Workshop’s Pre-Apprenticeship and Job Training Program, a program that helps Illinoisans develop key skills needed to enter the construction workforce where they can help revitalize under-resourced communities in Chicago. As the United States continues to face a shortage of workers in the skilled trades, this program is helping close this gap in the constructor sector by giving disadvantaged Illinoisans the tools they need to be competitive in this job market while making it easier to build across Chicagoland.
