Release: NSCEB Commissioners Visit Oklahoma City to Highlight State’s Leadership in Biotechnology and National Security

August 21, 2025 Press Release Oklahoma City, OK – Tuesday, NSCEB Commissioners, including Congresswoman Stephanie Bice (OK-05), joined Oklahoma biotech leaders and state officials in Oklahoma City to highlight the state’s growing role in the national biotech industry. “It was my honor to have the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology in Oklahoma City,” said Congresswoman Bice. “As a commissioner, I have been focused on highlighting the growing bioeconomy in our state and advocating for policies that strengthen our national security.” NSCEB Vice Chair Michelle Rozo praised Oklahoma’s leadership, saying, “Through investments in emerging technologies and in the future biotech workforce, Oklahoma is strengthening the state’s economy and contributing to America’s national security.” Commissioners toured BioTC, a biotech workforce development hub, and met with industry leaders at Innovation Hall to discuss workforce development, biomanufacturing, and opportunities for growth in Oklahoma’s life sciences sector.
