Larson Slams Friday Night Firing of Prosecutors and FBI Agents Who Investigated January 6th Insurrection and Donald Trump
Image January 31, 2025 Press Release East Hartford, CT - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement slamming the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) dismissal of federal prosecutors who worked on January 6th cases and the FBI’s firing of senior agents involved in investigating Donald Trump. “What Americans are watching and witnessing is the Dictator-in-Chief in action,” said Larson. “The American Public will not be fooled – the President, by targeting career law enforcement officials simply because they were doing their job, has made his intentions clear. No one can claim the mantle of law and order when they pardon rioters who assault police officers and fire the men and women who investigated and prosecuted them. The ongoing purge of the FBI and DOJ will only make it more likely criminals go free and illegal orders by Trump will be carried out unimpeded. This is but another example of the Dictator-in-Chief putting himself and his desire for retribution above the public interest." Issues : Judicial Standing Up to Trump and ‘DOGE’
