House Passes “Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act,” Rep. Moore Votes Yes

January 16, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C . – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 30, the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. Congressman Riley M. Moore proudly co-sponsored the legislation, which would make any alien who commits a sex offense or domestic violence inadmissible to the United States. Additionally, aliens in the country who are convicted of such offenses will quickly face deportation. Congressman Moore released the following statement: “ Securing the border was a major priority for voters this past November, and passage of today’s bill is another major step in delivering on that promise and sending the message that the United States is no longer a safe haven for criminals. “ICE data confirms at least 650,000 illegal aliens previously charged with or convicted of violent crimes are currently roaming freely through the United States. Many of these criminals are sexual predators, and despite this fact, 145 of my Democrat colleagues voted against protecting women today.
