Senator Collins’ Statement on Passing of Thomas Moser

Washington, D.C.– U.S. Senator Susan Collins issued the following statement on the passing of acclaimed Maine furniture maker Thomas Moser:
“Thomas Moser was a great teacher, artist, entrepreneur, and furniture maker. The business that bears his name that he and his wife Mary founded is known throughout the country and the world. His productions combined beauty and function and are instantly recognizable when you see them. I proudly display in my Washington office a beautiful, large wooden American flag that Tom made. It is emblematic of his love of our country and of the care and craftsmanship that he brought to bear upon all his work. My heart goes out to Tom’s entire family—he was a national treasure and will be deeply missed.”
