Thompson Releases Statement on Passage of Republican Budget

Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement on the passage of the Republican budget bill: “Tonight, Republicans said they didn’t have the votes to pass their budget bill, sent everyone home, then called their bill up for a vote. Every Democrat made it back to the floor, and every Democrat voted no. But Republicans passed their bill anyways, laying the groundwork to cut healthcare and food for children in order to pay for a tax cut for the richest in our country.
