Willmar, MN -- Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach met with Ruthton City Officials to review a $750,000 Community Project Funding grant she secured in the Fiscal Year 2026 Appropriations for their water tower replacement project. This critical federal funding serves as the first step in Ruthton's broader, three-year plan to completely overhaul its aging drinking water and sewer systems. City leaders outlined their plan to connect to Rural Water, which will eliminate the need to upgrade the local water treatment facility and reduce overall project costs by approximately $5 million. Fischbach reiterated that small towns should not be left behind due to limited administrative staff and pledged her office's continued assistance in helping local officials navigate and secure federal grant dollars.
