A Historic Step Toward Peace in the Middle East

<p>In yet another groundbreaking agreement, President Trump has announced that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of a new peace plan, a historic step toward ending years of conflict and securing lasting stability in the region—demonstrating the power of Peace through Strength.</p>

<p>Two years ago this week, Hamas terrorists launched the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust, murdering nearly 1,200 innocent Israelis and taking 251 men, women, and children hostage.</p>

<p>Since that horrific day, more than half of those hostages have been brought home. But&nbsp;48 remain in captivity, including 20 children, still waiting to be reunited with their families.</p>

<p>Under President Trump’s decisive leadership, the United States stands firmly with Israel—partnering with allies across the region to bring every hostage home and advance a durable peace in the Middle East.</p>
