Stauber Introduces Legislation to Help Individuals Living with Disabilities Find Employment
February 28, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) introduced the “ThinkDIFFERENTLY About Disability Employment Act,” a bipartisan bill that will help Americans living with disabilities find jobs or become entrepreneurs. “As a parent of a son with special needs, I know that the limit to what individuals with disabilities can achieve is not determined by their condition, but by how much we empower them,” said Congressman Pete Stauber. “That’s why I am proud to introduce legislation that will encourage the hiring of those in the disability community and help entrepreneurs with disabilities succeed. I will always champion legislation to ensure the American Dream remains within reach for everybody.” Specifically, the bill would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the National Council on Disability to increase access to resources for entrepreneurs with disabilities. ###
