Menefee (TX-18) announced he has joined the Congressional Equality Caucus as House Republicans once again bring anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation to the House floor instead of addressing the rising cost of living facing working families. The Republican legislation, titled the “Stopping Indoctrination and Protecting Kids Act,” targets LGBTQIA+ Americans and endangers transgender students by forcing schools to out them to their families and banning inclusive curriculum, making classrooms less safe and less welcoming for young people. As these attacks reach the House floor, Rep.
