Rosen Helps Secure Over $4 million in Federal Funding to Support Rural Communities in Nevada
WASHINGTON, DC –U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that Nevada will receive more than $4 million in federal funding through the Secure Rural Schools program (SRS), which provides essential funding for schools, roads, and law enforcement in rural communities across Nevada. Senator Rosenhelped introducethe bipartisanSecure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act, whichbecame lawat the end of last year, extending the U.S. Forest Service’s Secure Rural Schools program through 2026 and authorizing retroactive payments for the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years.
“Rural communities across Nevada rely on the Secure Rural Schools program to support funding for schools, roads, law enforcement, and more,”said Senator Rosen. “I’m proud to see that more than $4 million is coming to our state to boost critical services in our local communities. I’ll always keep working across party lines to deliver federal funding for our state.”
