Griffith Statement on Eve of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The United States of America celebrates January 20, 2025, as Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On the eve of the federal holiday, U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was an instrumental pioneer in the advancement of civil rights. “His relentless pursuit of equality, that ‘all men are created equal’, ushered in a new era for the United States. “May we remember and celebrate his inspirational life of service and sacrifice to the civil rights movement and the betterment of our nation.” ###
