Rep. Kevin Kiley Statement on President Trump Endorsing Extension of ACA Tax Credits

<p><strong>WASHINGTON D.C.</strong>&nbsp;– Congressman Kevin Kiley (CA-03), who is authoring the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Fix It Act&nbsp;</em>with Congressman Sam Liccardo (CA-16),&nbsp;released the following statement in response to President Trump’s proposal to temporarily extend ACA enhanced premium tax credits:</p>

<p>“I am grateful that the President is endorsing the key components of our legislation. It is vital that we act quickly to prevent a massive increase in healthcare costs for 22 million Americans while also adopting reforms to control costs.” Rep. Kiley said. “As Rep. Liccardo and I have shown, there’s a real opportunity for a bipartisan agreement, and Congress must act quickly to get this done. Millions of independent contractors, small business owners and employees, early retirees and everyone else who relies on this premium support should not have to pay the price for congressional inaction.”</p>
