Highs and Lows: Bipartisan Legislation to Fix Our Forests

I filmed my highs and lows this week in what we call our leg shop, where we do all the work on legislation. It’s about eight different cubicles and is where our team does its great work! My high this week is that, with reconciliation behind us, we’re now really starting to get into some good legislation. One that I’ll point out that I’m really proud of is called the Fix Our Forests Act . The number of fires in the West and in Utah right now is totally out of control. We have a good bipartisan bill with great support that deals with everything from how we manage our forests to the way the agencies work together, and the way we predict forest fires.
