Luján Statement on Viewing Unredacted Epstein Files at DOJ

Washington, D.C.– U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement after visiting the Department of Justice (DOJ) to view the unredacted Epstein files:
“Today made one thing very clear: horrific and disturbing acts occurred on the Zorro Ranch property near Stanley, New Mexico, and more investigations must be conducted to deliver the full truth and long-overdue justice for Epstein’s victims.
“It has been 113 days since the Senate passed my Epstein Files Transparency Act. President Trump is breaking the law every day by not releasing all the files and denying victims accountability for Epstein’s crimes. This administration must comply with the law and release all of the files immediately.”
Senators Luján and Merkleyintroducedthe Epstein Files Transparency Act earlier this year to ensure full transparency for the American people, accountability for those involved with Epstein, and justice for victims.
Yesterday, Senator Lujáncalled for an independent auditand report to Congress about the DOJ’s practices in redacting information of the public release of the Epstein Files.
