Horsford Demands Answers, Accountability on Illegal Tariffs and American Refunds

Despite repeated, direct questioning, Secretary Bessent failed to provide clear answers on the administration's handling of tariff refunds, leaving millions of Americans without the relief they are owed. "These illegal tariffs have already cost the average American household and estimated additional $1,800 over the past year," said Rep. Horsford. "If this administration collected that money illegally, the American people deserve to get it back plain and simple. Instead, Secretary Bessent dodged every direct question, and this administration continues to delay, deflect, and deny. Enough excuses. Enough delays. Give the American people their money back."
