Webster Supports Short-Term Government Funding Bill

Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement after voting to pass H.R. 9770, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2027, legislation that fully funds the federal government through December 4, 2026. “Today, I voted to pass legislation to keep the government funded at current levels and provide certainty for the American people. While I generally oppose funding the government through continuing resolutions, allowing Democrats to shut down the government would only create instability for hardworking Americans. House Republicans have acted early by advancing all twelve appropriations bills from committee and it is shameful that Democrats in the Senate have forced delays solely for political purposes.” ###
