Fedorchak joins President Trump at the White House for bill signing
December 11, 2025 Press Release Legislation to repeal Biden's North Dakota land use plan becomes law Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) joined President Trump at the White House today for the signing of her joint resolution, H.J. Res. 105 , to overturn the Biden administration’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Resource Management Plan (RMP) for North Dakota. “The Biden administration failed to recognize North Dakota’s record of responsible energy development and environmental stewardship when developing its resource management plan for our state,” said Fedorchak. “If not reversed, this plan would have crushed coal production and eliminated 12,000 jobs in our state. Thank you, President Trump, for signing my legislation into law and standing with innovation, American workers, and the families who power this nation.” Image Finalized by the Biden administration in its very last week in office, the land use plan would have significantly restricted the state’s ability to access and develop its federally managed mineral resources by closing leasing on more than four million acres (nearly 99 percent) of federal coal acreage and 213,000 acres (44 percent) of federally owned fluid mineral acreage.
