McClellan Statement on Escalating Attacks Between Israel and Iran

June 20, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) issued the following statement after ongoing escalations between Israel and Iran: “The escalating conflict between Israel and Iran is deeply concerning and risks triggering a broader regional war with devastating consequences. “Iran’s support for terrorism and pursuit of nuclear weapons remains a serious threat to Israel and the Western World. At the same time, continued military escalation endangers millions of lives and undermines regional and global stability. “The United States must lead with strong diplomacy to de-escalate tensions, and I urge all parties to pursue a path toward peace and restraint. “I call on President Trump to resume diplomatic negotiations as quickly as possible.
