Thompson Releases Statement on Supreme Court Ruling Narrowing National Injunctions

Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling narrowing the power of district court judges to issue nationwide injunctions blocking federal government policies, including the President’s order to end birthright citizenship: “The Supreme Court's ruling today will fundamentally change how Americans can get immediate relief from unlawful and unjust actions. Everyday Americans should be afforded protections while cases go through our legal system. “If you are born in America, you are an American. I know it, you know it, and our Constitution says it.
