Rep. Webster Statement on Israeli Strikes on Iran

Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement on Israel’s targeted strikes against Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). “The Iranian regime has time and again proven itself to be in opposition to U.S. interests, values, and security. After Iran ignored President Trump’s 60-day ultimatum to cease their nuclear program and negotiate, on day 61 our ally Israel responded by carrying out a covert operation targeting Iranian military infrastructure and senior military officials. We all hope and pray for peace in the Middle East, but the IRGC is the most dangerous faction of the Iranian regime. America’s steadfast support of our allies – especially Israel – is indispensable to countering the constant threats from Iran and its terrorist proxies.” ###
