Fetterman Statement in Support of Coca-Cola Teamsters Local 110 Strike
November 2, 2026 Fetterman Statement in Support of Coca-Cola Teamsters Local 110 Strike BRADDOCK, PA — In announcing his support for the Teamsters Union Local 110 members who are on strike at the Abarta Coca Cola Plants in Cambria and Clearfield Counties, U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) today released the following statement: “I’m proud to stand with the Teamsters Local 110 and every union member fighting for fair wages and a safe workplace. I urge Abarta Coca-Cola management to come back to the table and work together to create a fair deal for everyone.” “The company did not want to bargain in good faith, we gave them several proposals and they simply said no and left. We filed a ULP. They would not counter. We tried to tell them what it would take to get it passed and they said we will not reward the behavior of striking. They now said they will not come back to the table till January of 2027 they will just hire replacements because sales are up 6% and they will be fine. These members are the lowest paid and pay the highest amount in health care in comparison to Greensburg and Houston facilities,” said Darrell Watt, President of Teamsters Local 110. Teamsters Local 110 have been in negotiations with Abarta Coca-Cola since July and have been on strike for 10 days. The union members have rejected two contract proposals due to concerns over increases in healthcare costs and unfair wages. As of now, Local 110 leadership are waiting for Abarta Coca-Cola to return to the table and continue negotiations.
