Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will hold a town meeting with University of Vermont (UVM) Health CEO Dr. Stephen Leffler on Friday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Vermont’s health care crisis. Vermonters pay the highest prices for monthly health insurance premiums of any state in the country, with premiums skyrocketing in the wake of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Dr. Leffler leads the largest health care institution in Vermont, which includes UVM Medical Center, Porter Medical Center, Central Vermont Medical Center and UVM Home Health and Hospice.
