Hoeven Introduces Judge Daniel Traynor at Senate Judiciary Hearing
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today introduced U.S. District Judge Daniel Traynor, who has been nominated to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing to review his nomination. Hoeven outlined Traynor’s experience and qualifications, including serving since 2020 on the U.S. District Court for North Dakota. The senator also outlined to the committee the importance of quickly approving Traynor’s nomination and sending it to the full Senate for confirmation. “Judge Traynor is a man of integrity, intellect, and deep faith in our constitutional system. He has earned a reputation as a thoughtful and fair jurist whose commitment to justice is respected by those who know him and those who have appeared before him,” said Hoeven. “Since his confirmation to serve as a Judge for the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota, Judge Traynor has distinguished himself through his diligence, impartiality, and careful attention to the facts and law before him. I thank the Committee for its consideration and respectfully urge members to favorably report his nomination in an expeditious manner.” Hoeven and Senator Kevin Cramer announced Traynor’s nomination in May and have been working with the White House to advance his nomination to fulfill a vacancy resulting from U.S. Circuit Judge Ralph Erickson assuming senior status. -###-
