Congressman Vicente Gonzalez Celebrates OVER $6 Million in Federal Funds for Rural Transit

August 18, 2025 Press Release BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS — Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) celebrated $6,288,790 in multiple federal transportation grants benefiting rural communities throughout the 34 th Congressional District of Texas. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) awarded these federal grants, in addition to state funding, to several local rural transit agencies, counties, organizations and cities (full list below).
