LaMonica McIver (NJ-10) released the following statement on Trump’s executive order to dismantle the Department of Education: "As a former educational leader and the mom of an elementary schooler, I am outraged by Donald Trump’s reckless decision to dismantle the Department of Education. This is a disaster for the future of America’s children and will only cause more problems in our education system. The federal government should be increasing funding for our students, teachers, and schools—but instead the Trump administration is ripping away necessary resources and existing infrastructure, leaving kids behind, and threatening the future of our economy and workforce.
