Congresswoman Lee Statement on Vote to Keep Fentanyl Out of Our Communities
February 6, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement after voting in favor of the HALT Fentanyl Act to help keep fentanyl out of our communities: “Far too many lives have been lost to fentanyl, and this shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Without this commonsense bill, more drugs would become street-legal, more drugs would flow into our country, and it would be harder for law enforcement to keep us safe. “The Biden Administration repeatedly signed legislation into law to temporarily classify fentanyl as a schedule 1 drug and this bill will make that permanent. “Today, Democrats and Republicans were able to work together to help keep drugs out of our communities and bring drug traffickers to justice.” ### Issues : Public Safety & Law Enforcement
