Sykes Presents $1,000,000 Ceremonial Check for Cuyahoga Falls Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project CUYAHOGA FALLS , OHIO — Yesterday, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) presented a ceremonial check of $1,092,000 to the City of Cuyahoga Falls for the Cuyahoga Falls Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project. “I’m glad to deliver this funding for Cuyahoga Falls to ensure residents have access to affordable, clean drinking water,” said Rep. Sykes. “Clean water is an essential resource for everyone in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District, and I will continue to fight for investments that will provide safe drinking water in our communities.” "Providing safe, reliable drinking water is one of the most important services we provide to our residents. This significant federal investment will allow us to make critical improvements to our century-old water treatment plant and ensure it continues serving Cuyahoga Falls for generations to come. This project would support the City of Cuyahoga Falls to replace its treatment facility, which has exceeded its useful life. The project will replace the aging water softener and pump buildings, laboratory, ion exchange softeners, and high-service pumps. The improvements will modernize the city’s water treatment infrastructure and provide a more consistent, reliable drinking water system for the communities of Cuyahoga Falls, Silver Lake, and Munroe Falls. The $1,092,000 for the Cuyahoga Falls for Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project is one of 15 Community Project Funding awards totaling more than $12 million that Rep.
