Magaziner to Forgo Pay for Duration of Partial Government Shutdown
March 23, 2026 Press Release WARWICK, RI – Today, U.S. Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) announced that he will not accept a salary during the ongoing partial government shutdown that is impacting the Department of Homeland Security. He released the following statement: “I will not take a paycheck while TSA officers and many other federal employees are required to work without one. I am also calling on my colleagues in Congress to pass the Democratic bill to fund non-ICE and Border Patrol employees of the Department of Homeland Security immediately, so that working men and women of the TSA, Coast Guard, FEMA and other key agencies can be paid while the negotiations around new guardrails for ICE and Border Patrol continue."
