Duckworth, Durbin Announce $141k in Federal Funding for Decatur Airport

[WASHINGTON, D.C.]–U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) and U.S. Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL)  today announced $141,874 in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Authority for Decatur Airport. The federal funding will be used toreconstruct 21,817 square yards of the existing south T-Hangar Apron pavement.
“Illinois’s airports are critical economic engines for our state,”Duckworth said.“I’m proud to join Senator Durbin in announcing this federal funding to help modernize and improve infrastructure at Decatur Airport. I will continue working to make traveling safer and more reliable for all passengers while ensuring that our communities are receiving the much-needed federal resources they deserve.”
