Rep. Moore Co-sponsors, Votes Yes On Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act

January 23, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 21 , the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act . This legislation requires medical care be provided for any baby born alive after a failed abortion. Congressman Riley M. Moore co-sponsored the legislation, which passed today with bipartisan support. Congressman Moore released the following statement: “My constituents sent me to Washington to defend the unborn and promote a culture of life. That’s exactly what I’m going to do. While West Virginia already has the strongest pro-life laws in the country, many states are behind, and it's imperative that Congress do everything it can to protect life. With the March for Life converging in the nation’s capital tomorrow, there was no better time to pass this bipartisan bill, which I proudly co-sponsored. “Additionally, it’s gravely concerning that 204 of my Democrat colleagues voted against this commonsense protection for the most vulnerable children. A society that can’t even acknowledge a life when a baby is screaming and gasping for air before their very eyes is a society that’s rotten to the core. We must do better.” ### Issues : Health
