Larson Applauds Court Order Ending Baseless Revolution Wind Stop Work Order

Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after a federal judge issued a court injunction allowing work to resume on the Revolution Wind project. This is the second time the Trump Administration lost in court after trying to end the near-complete offshore wind project, which is going to help power more than 350,000 homes in Southern New England and save ratepayers over $500 million per year. “The Trump Administration’s baseless stop work order left hundreds of construction workers without a paycheck right before the holidays and put a project on ice that was set to save New England ratepayers millions,” said Larson. “This president has gone after wind projects, solar energy, and our state’s clean hydrogen sector — raising energy costs for families already struggling to make ends meet — all because he thinks climate change is a ‘hoax.’ Connecticut did not waste one second in the fight to protect Revolution Wind from his vindictive decrees because we’ve seen this playbook before.
