WASHINGTON – On Friday, U.S. Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA) visited National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. Sen. HIGH-QUALITY PHOTOS AVAILABLE HERE “The Langley Research Center in Hampton has long been a source of tremendous pride not only for NASA, but also for Hampton Roads, the Commonwealth, and our entire nation. Our nation’s bold experiment in human spaceflight started right here: every astronaut who has walked on the moon trained here at Langley,” said Sen. Warner. “Langley is critical to NASA’s mission, and it is my priority that we keep these instrumental jobs. It was great to meet with NASA Administrator Isaacman, Director Dyal, and employees to hear about the great work being done at Langley and how I can support the center in Congress.” “America’s leadership in space will depend on our ability to solve hard engineering problems, develop breakthrough technologies, and invest in the workforce capable of doing both,” said Administrator Isaacman . “NASA Langley is helping support Artemis missions and the Moon base, advancing hypersonics and nuclear technologies for space. The work happening here enables NASA to achieve the near-impossible. Today is an opportunity to recognize the workforce whose expertise and dedication continue to strengthen America’s leadership in aerospace and space exploration.” ###
