Rep. Simpson Cosponsors Bill to Prohibit Taxpayer-Funded Discrimination Against the Firearm Industry
WASHINGTON— Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson cosponsored H.R. 45, the Firearm Industry Non-Discrimination (FIND) Act, a bill prohibiting corporations from securing federal contracts while discriminating against firearm trade associations or businesses that deal in firearms. This legislation is led by Congressman Jack Bergman (R-MI). “Americans’ taxpayer dollars should never go into the pockets of corporations that undermine the Second Amendment,” said Rep. Simpson. “However, in recent years, we’ve seen large companies that benefit from federal funding adopt policies designed to harm and discriminate against the American firearm industry. I am proud to support this effort and responsibly spend taxpayer dollars while protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens.” The full bill text is available here .
