Senator Moody, along with community officials and law enforcement officers placed a yellow rose in remembrance of those lost and in honor of the heroism police officers, firefighters, and other first responders showed on that tragic day 25 years ago. “Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation experienced one of the darkest days in American history. But on that terrible day, we also saw the very best of America. Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other first responders ran toward danger to help others. They risked – and in far too many cases, gave – their own lives to save people whom they had never met,” said Senator Ashley Moody . “Today, we remember every precious life lost. We honor the heroes who answered the call and we stand with the families who still carry the weight of that loss. May we never forget September 11th, and the courage and unity America showed in its aftermath.” # # # Join the Newsletter Email Address First Name Last Name Follow Follow Follow Follow Copyright 2024 Follow Follow Follow Follow Usage Policy PDF Help Privacy Policy Senate.gov
