PHOTO RELEASE: Congresswoman Lee Hosts Pinning Ceremony to Honor Local African American Vietnam Veterans
July 31, 2025 Press Release Image LAS VEGAS, NV – Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) hosted a ceremony at Mountaintop Faith Ministries for southern Nevada’s African American Vietnam War veterans, honoring their service and sacrifices with Vietnam Veteran Lapel pins. The pins – which feature a blue circle with a laurel wreath surrounding a bald eagle, the American flag, and six stars that represent the allied nations who served in the Vietnam War – were awarded to several local veterans. Of the 200,000 veterans Nevada is home to, 12% are African American.
