Senate Republican Leadership Responds to Illegal Cash Reserves

DENVER
– This morning, the
Colorado State Auditor announced
that seven state agencies, including the Office of the Governor, are illegally holding tens of millions of dollars in excess cash reserves. In response, the Colorado Senate Republican Leadership issues the following statement:
“
While the Democrat caused cost of living crisis has Coloradans tightening their belts to survive, the executive branch illegally sits on millions of tax dollars. It is outrageous to see Governor Polis and Colorado Democrats continually squeeze every penny they can out of taxpayers when they haven’t used what’s been collected. Return the illegally held money to the people with tax cuts now.”
