Senator Andy Kim Statement after Vote on Joint Resolutions of Disapproval
WASHINGTON, D.C.–Today, Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) released the following statement regarding his vote for two Joint Resolutions of Disapproval, S.J.Res. 32 and S.J.Res. 138:
“Americans wake up every morning and find themselves living in an age of incredible anxiety and insecurity. They see the Iran war leading to higher prices at the gas pump and grocery store. We need to work urgently to put an end to the war and instead use taxpayer dollars to address the needs of the American people.
“I don’t support providing the weapons and equipment considered by these JRD votes that would further prolong and perpetuate this illegal and unconstitutional war.”
