Rep. Moore Votes “Yes” on First Appropriations Bill, Which Significantly Increases Funding to the VA

June 25, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C. – This afternoon, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 3944, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2026 . Congressman Riley M. Moore, who is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, voted “Yes” on the bill. This legislation provides $452.64 billion for the Department of Veterans Affairs, which is $82.6 billion above the previous Fiscal Year 2025 enacted level. The legislation also includes several of Congressman Moore’s priorities, such as language prohibiting the VA from buying Chinese tech equipment, as well as language that restricts the Department from sharing veterans’ names with the FBI NICS system . Congressman Moore issued the following statement: “Today’s bill is a win for veterans, and I was proud to vote ‘Yes.’ West Virginia has a rich history of military service, and those veterans deserve the very best care available.
