Since taking office, Menendez’s casework team has assisted constituents in recovering federal benefits from the IRS, Social Security Administration, Medicare, Veterans Affairs, and other federal programs. “Making sure government works for everyone who calls our communities home is at the core of our mission,” said Congressman Menendez. “Our team is committed to delivering government as a service. Reaching this milestone reflects our team’s hard work, and we will keep fighting every day for the people we serve.” One such case involved a constituent from Hoboken who had severe difficulties obtaining public service loan forgiveness that they were eligible for. Menendez’s casework team was able to work to resolve this situation and secure over $370,000 in loan forgiveness for their constituent. “I am writing to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your invaluable assistance and support in resolving my student loan issues, resulting in the discharge of these loans. Your office listened and acted with compassion and efficiency. This debt forgiveness is life-changing for me and my family. Thank you!” - Constituent from Hoboken . Another constituent from Jersey City faced an unresolved IRS issue for years. With the assistance from Menendez’s casework team, the matter was resolved in a few weeks and over $88,000 was returned. “I had a wonderful experience with the Office of Congressman Rob Menendez. The whole team quickly responded to my request for help, and everyone was very helpful. I had been trying to solve my problem with the IRS for years, and they solved it in a few weeks. They did an amazing job! I really appreciate the support from the team. Thank you!” - Constituent from Jersey City . Congressman Rob Menendez encourages constituents experiencing difficulties navigating federal agencies to contact their office for assistance.
