Important SNAP update

newsletterView on carson.house.gov

November 10, 2025 Past Newsletters Indianapolis residents are seeing their SNAP benefits delayed because of the Trump administration’s directive to reduce SNAP benefits for November. The Trump administration has the funds and the legal authority to fully fund SNAP for November. But the Trump administration has said it will only partially fund SNAP for the month. I want you to know that you are not alone – and help is available if you need it. You can find food resources here , including new food drives all through the month of November hosted by Indianapolis’ Office of Public Health and Safety. If you need additional assistance, local organizations are ready to lend a hand. Learn more about eviction and housing resources, financial assistance, and answers to frequently asked questions on my website . I’m fighting in Congress to reopen the government and stop conservatives from cutting SNAP. In the meantime, my office remains open and working for you during the government shutdown. Democrats remain ready to meet with anyone, anytime, and anywhere to negotiate bipartisan solutions for the American people.
