Feenstra Applauds Approval of $209 Million for Rural Hospitals and Healthcare in Iowa

December 29, 2025 Press Release HULL, IOWA – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) praised the Trump administration and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for approving $209 million for rural hospitals and rural healthcare in Iowa for 2026 as part of the Rural Health Transformation Program. This transformational investment in rural healthcare was made possible by the Working Families Tax Cuts, which Feenstra helped write and pass. “Working with President Trump, my Republican colleagues and I delivered $50 billion for rural hospitals and rural healthcare nationwide, and today’s announcement of $209 million for Iowa in 2026 alone will greatly benefit our state and rural communities. This funding will support rapid emergency medical services in Iowa, keep our rural hospitals open and operational, and make high-quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for Iowans,” said Rep. Feenstra . “As a former volunteer EMT in my hometown of Hull for 15 years, I can confidently say that this investment in rural healthcare will support patients and save lives. I’ll keep working with President Trump to lower healthcare costs and ensure all Iowans have access to high-quality, affordable care.” You can find more information about today’s announcement HERE . ### Issues : Health
