Estes Reacts to Proposed WOTUS Rule

U.S. Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed a new Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. "For too long, overzealous bureaucrats in Washington have tried to micromanage the ponds and puddles in Kansas without regard for the conservation work of the men and women who care for the land each and every day," said Rep. Estes . "The newly proposed WOTUS rule promotes clean water without inhibiting ag and energy producers and landowners. It upholds the Supreme Court's Sackett decision and works with Kansas farmers and ranchers, not against them, to be good stewards of our natural resources – something they've been doing for generations."
