Larsen Releases Statement on Trump Administration Changes to Immigration Processes

Today, Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement after the Trump administration announced changes to immigration processes: “Refugees and humanitarian nonprofits that support refugees should not be punished because of the actions of one violent person. “I supported the establishment of World Relief’s Whatcom County office and I continue to support their work. Since 2021, World Relief has helped resettle more than 800 people in the area, including individuals who helped protect American troops in Afghanistan. World Relief is a critical organization that gives families who have faced severe hardship the opportunity to contribute to our communities and pursue the American dream. “People fleeing violence to live in the United States deserve due process and a fair chance.” ###
