Senator Kim Statement Condemning President Trump’s Freeze on Military Aid to Ukraine
WASHINGTON D.C. –Today,Senator Andy Kimreleased the following statement responding torecent reportsthat President Trump ordered a pause on U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
“The only people celebrating this decision tonight are leaders in Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. By abandoning our partners in Ukraine, President Trump has sent a signal to every one of our allies that we cannot be trusted, and to every one of our adversaries that America’s word means nothing. Defending democracies and standing up to autocracies was once something that Democrats and Republicans agreed on. I hope my colleagues across the aisle stand up to these actions and this Administration immediately reverses this harmful decision that will cost lives.”
