Watch here . “Our communities cannot recover without federal support. Our public infrastructure has at least $34 million in damage, and sadly, our community experienced a loss of life. My constituents are dealing with damage that is creating public health hazards, including mold and mildew. These repairs will be expensive and financially burdensome. I am calling on the President to support Governor Evers’ disaster declaration request to release the flow of federal support to our community.” On August 28 th , Congresswoman Moore joined a letter with the entire Wisconsin delegation calling for Governor Evers’s major disaster declaration to be approved by the President. On August 14 th , she joined Senator Baldwin and Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-01) in a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary calling for FEMA’s assistance conducting a formal federal preliminary damage assessment, which is used to determine whether the state meets the threshold for a major disaster declaration.
